I just want to thank both Dr. Lipscomb, and Dr. Meyette. Both were extremely accommodating, attentiv... e, and informed. I would say that they both were doctors that I would happily see again- both for the aforementioned reasons and because they will have helped my eyes stay in the best shape possible. Dr. Meyette, you taking your time to calmly address my concerns (some of them repeatedly when I made it necessary) was probably the biggest relief I could have asked for when it comes to my overall health concerns. Thanks so much, sir.

Dr.Emily smith is such a kind and knowledgeable doctor. This was my sons first appointment and she m... ade sure he was having fun and engaged the whole time while still managing to complete the exam. I was also so happy to be educated on myopic preventative measures!

I had an eye urgency today and needed to be seen as soon as possible. I was able to be seen by Dr. L... ipscomb, and from start to finish had the best experience. When I called this morning I spoke with Alex, and she was so kind and helpful, and went out of her way to make sure I could get in today and that I was taken care of. When I got there, both her and a coworker, Jason, helped me - again super kind and great. The Dr. and his assistant were also both great and made me feel confident in the care I was receiving. No one rushed me or made me feel like they were squeezing me in. I left feeling like they all cared. Even when I called back to make my follow up appt, the gentleman who answered was super awesome. They have a new patient out of me, thanks!!

Myopia Management FAQs

What is myopia management?

Myopia management uses certain treatments and technologies to slow or even halt your child's myopia progression. Our myopia control program in East is unique as we have the latest technology and experience to ensure your child's vision remains stable and healthy for years to come.

Is myopia management necessary?

Myopia is more than just poor vision. Childhood myopia raises the risk of developing sight-threatening eye diseases later in life, such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts. Speak to your eye doctor about the best ways to minimize your child’s risk.

At what age does myopia (nearsightedness) usually start?

Myopia can begin as early as 6 and will usually progress until roughly age 20. The longer it progresses, and the higher the prescription, the greater your child’s risk of sight-threatening eye conditions later in life.

When should my child start myopia management?

For optimal results, myopia management should be started as soon as possible. That said, myopia control can help children and teens of all ages.
